Faculty resources

The Technology Accessibility Team has compiled the following list of resources to help our faculty in the accessibility space. If you have suggestions for additional resources, please contact us and let us know!
Always choose quality captions
Quality captions provide a text version of any verbal content within your digital content for people in your audience who are deaf or who may be language learners. If you would like to have your course videos proactively professionally captioned so they will be more inclusive for all students, please take advantage of our Course Caption Grant, available to all Wake Forest faculty members.
Accommodations, Compliance and Accessibility
This asynchronous Workday course is a collaborative effort to inform faculty on accommodations, grievance, and accessibility practices at Wake Forest University. Representatives from the Title IX/504 office, the Center for Learning, Access, and Student Success (CLASS), and the Technology Accessibility team (IS) highlight resources available to faculty and relevant regulations and guidelines.
Creating a Welcoming and Accessible Experience in Canvas
We hope you will join our new Canvas course to discover effective ways to make your Canvas course more accessible for all users, regardless of their learning styles or disabilities. This course will cover best practices and provide demos of workflows in Canvas that can help students engage and succeed. Topics include the rich content text editor, immersive reader, quizzes, and captions.
